Tutorial // Braided Crown

I wore my hair like this to a bridal shower tonight, and the girls were asking me if it was my actual hair and how to make it wrap all the way around! So... I thought, tutorial! (quite similar to the braidmaid style I posted, but this one goes all the way around the head)

1. Divide hair into 4 sections, seperating the front from the back on either side.

2. Braid each section starting close to the root, 4 braids total, and look like a crazy person (or me at age 12)

3. Pull the end of one braid to the beginning of the next braid, going in the same direction all around the head

4. Bobby pin the end of each braid into the start of the braid beside it. Be sure to hide those bobby pins so that it looks like one braid all the way around!!

any questions?

I love this!! Especially because it's for short hair (which I have right now). So you pin both left braids upwards on one side and the same on the right side? Thanks for sharing!

Great tutorial! I have SUPER natural curly hair (on the shorter side at the moment) and this works beautifully! I'm wearing my hair like this today since it's going to be hot, hot, hot and humid!

This is SO cute. I have no idea how you managed to make those braids look like one continuous braid, but it does!!!! I'll have to try this.

Smart!! I never would've thought of dividing the hair into 4 chunks. I have super long hair, and it still seems hard to wrap it all around in 2 braids. Thanks for sharing :) Cheers!

Perms are totally hot right now & they certainly aren't the poodle, crimped stuff of the 80s. The newest perms are gentler than ever & totally safe for hair.

Holy cow this is AMAZING. Can't wait until my hair is long enough to do this. Beautiful blog, too. <3

I love this method of doing a crown braid! My hair's so thick that doing on ginormous circular braid is ridiculously hard, but I reckon this technique would work a treat! Thanks for sharing!
